# How Rewards Work

## Protection and Recycling Mechanism

Coinmunity Cashback balances reward accessibility with ecosystem sustainability through a structured protection window:

* **7-Day Protection**: Your most recent seven days of rewards remain permanently available for claiming
* **Daily Recycling**: Unclaimed rewards older than seven days are automatically recycled once daily at 00:00 GMT
* **Continuous** **Rollover**: The protection window moves forward each day, ensuring consistent access to recent earnings

## Timeline Example

**Scenario: Daily rewards generated from September 1-30, with current date of October 1 at 00:00 GMT**

* **October** **1**: System protects rewards from September 24-30 (7 most recent days)
* **Recycled**: Unclaimed rewards from September 1-23 are returned to the reward pool
* **October** **2**: Protection window moves to September 25-October 1, recycling September 1-24

## Common Scenarios

#### Case A: Inactive User

* **User doesn't claim September 1-30 rewards**
* **October** **1**: September 1-23 rewards recycled
* **October** **2**: September 1-24 rewards recycled
* **Result**: User maintains access to most recent 7 days while older rewards cycle out

#### Case B: Partial Activity

* **User claimed September 1-15 rewards previously**
* **October** 3: System attempts to recycle September 1-25
* **Result**: Only unclaimed September 16-25 rewards are recycled, previously claimed rewards remain secure

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.dapdap.net/apps/coinmunity-cashback/how-rewards-work.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
